Does Money Buy you Happiness?

http://uninews.unimelb.edu.au/articleid_1762.html

The next time someone quotes you "Money doesn't buy happiness".

The correct response is, "Not if you use as your measure a person's income, but if using net-wealth (a more static measure) then yes it does".

I heard an interview yesterday with the lead researcher in the HILDA project where he stated that the well known increase in happiness from being married is equivalent to the level of happiness you derive from around $1 million dollars of net wealth.

Hmmm.... Can we trade?

EDIT: (Just kidding Queen Dom)

EDIT 2: Blogging can lead to negative happiness. I must inform the researchers of a new variable that they missed.
