Recovering

I've almost recovered from the illness I've suffered this week. Four of the six in our household were struck down but fortunately Queen Dom and Baby Dom survived unscathed.

With the near completion of marking final exams upon me I now turn to the next task - that of the pass / fail borderline decisions. Many of these students are in their final year of University and the vast majority already have full time employment secured in business next year. Failures at this stage create many hardships, particularly for international students who sometimes have financial as well as visa issues to contend with.

Thus it's always a big call to have to make and not one to be taken lightly. So while it was fun last year I don't think I can continue to use pin the grade on the donkey. The blindfold raises too many questions.

I'll be making the hard calls tomorrow night. Suggestions are welcome and all will be considered.
