Adelaide?

Wagner's ring cycle is being performed in Australia. How wonderful you think.

One problem - it's in Adelaide and doesn't appear to be touring. I suppose this is understandable given the size of the orchestra required. While I'd love to go I'm not sure if I can be bothered flying to Adelaide to see a concert, no matter how good.

Rethink

Perhaps I was a bit hasty calling for Howard's resignation - though I did protect myself with a qualifying 'if'.

The Bunyip raises a very good point as it is not disputed that the boat was deliberately sunk by the adults on board.
the government used that wonderful word "thrown". If ministers had said --
somewhat more accurately, admittedly -- that children were "scuttled" into the
water "callously deposited", "slowly submerged" or "had their boat sunk beneath
them", there would be nothing for Scrafton to fume about it.

Perhaps we are just dealing with subtle linguistic distinctions after all. The end result was the same.

(I still think Howard should have retired at 64, but I conceed now this is just a beat up for political advantage)

So Howard Lied?

If so, time for him to go.
Bring on Prime Minister Costello.

Confession time:
I'm happy - proud member of the Abbott and Costello fanclub here.

Howard and Latham I have little care for one way or the other.

Beazley I could have supported, while Crean is best described by the legendary Paul Keating.

A creanite is someone who's economic credibility is shot.
