Builder facing iminent financial penalty

Amazingly at the last minute everything falls into place and the granite benchtops arrived. Who would have guessed that builders could move so quickly when their contracted time is almost expired...

Basketball

Scary thought.

A good friend of mine who tries to convince everyone his pseudonym is 'Bahaal' (but we all know him better as 'Traffic Light' or 'Gumby') asked me on the weekend if I'm interested in rejoining a basketball team with the rest of the fogies.

I informed Queen Domitar that I might come out of retirement.

Her response: (Serious look) I hope you never tell anyone that you are retired from basketball. You sound like an idiot. It wasn't your full time job, just a hobby.

Domitar: I beg to differ, I used to play 60 hours a week.

Queen Domitar: Yeah but you never got paid for it.

Domitar: You're wrong, I won a 3-on-3 t-shirt in 1992. That's remuneration my dear. (Checkmate)

Mmmmm, basketball. My real job beckons once again after 2 years off the hardwood.

Update: Obivously lucky enough to have a green light, Bahaal has already emailed through a reminder that he prefers 'Fish-Burger' to 'Gumby'.

Triumph

Congratulations...me.

This site is now the number one Google ranked site on searches for 'Domitar'.

My apologies for the lack of updates. I realised this morning my brain has been bereft of ideas for new posts the last few weeks. Or at least the subjects which have taken my time would bore you to tears (bond-creting the floor, paint selection, continuing to live without a kitchen, financial markets research).

The moment I have something useful to say, I'll be sure to post it.
